Fraud warning

A woman from Peterborough recently joined a telegram group where she was told she could make money just by sending photos of her feet. 

The group admin said all she had to do was send a photo of her passport held up next to her face and start sending photos. He claimed she could make up to £1,000 per picture. 

Requests for images soon became more explicit as the group admin developed a trusting relationship with the victim.

After sending a selection of photos, she received a message from a random number claiming it was a scam and the group admin sold intimate pictures and identities on the dark web.

The victim never received any money for the photos she sent. Officers are now in touch with her and a report has been filed with Report Fraud.
